FromLabs launched InfoSpot O’s implementation at Bandung-based Gormetaria
February 01, 2021
In the last week January 2021, FromLabs launched first InfoSpot O implementation at Gormetaria, a restaurant based in Bandung, Indonesia.
One year into the pandemic, the world is witnessing swift digital transformation and behavioral change in society. FromLabs is eager to be a part of that transformation through our solution, with InfoSpot O being our most recent implementation.
InfoSpot O –the O stands for “Order” – is web-based application that supports and improves restaurant services, especially in the new normal era. The main idea of the solution is to help restaurant run as normally as possible, through minimizing close interaction between customers and restaurant staff.
Among the most populous cities in Indonesia, as well as popular destination spot in the country, Bandung serves as an exciting home for the first implementation of InfoSpot O.
“We chose InfoSpot O from FromLabs to help us with touchless transaction,” said Mario Panca Wiguna, part of the tech team of Gormetaria. First opened in late 2016, Gormetaria is located in the busy Pasir Kaliki street at the heart of Bandung city. To sustain the business in the bustling area amid the pandemic, the restaurant needed a technology solution which is now provided by FromLabs.
In general, InfoSpot O covers both sides of the business: for internal management and for customer. On the management side, the application can help the restaurant to manage menu and promotions, monitor tables, oversee the ordering process, and make statistical reports, among others.
As for the customer, customers can communicate with the restaurant through the application via mobile device. Through InfoSpot O, customers can place order, request for check, and make payment with multiple payment methods, which can be set up and configured by the restaurant. Hopefully, through the implementation of technology, the risk of transmission can be reduced and customers’ confidence in the restaurant business can recover.
Not only that the application minimizes contact between costumers and the staff, InfoSpot O can also help reduce close interaction between staff. Waiters and kitchen staff do not have to communicate directly as they can oversee order details and process inside the app. This feature ensures that everyone, including the staff, can uphold the health protocols while running the business.
Quan Nguyen, the project manager for InfoSpot O’s implementation at Gormetaria, said that the app is suitable for the food and beverage industry due to its ability to cater to both costumer and business side. InfoSpot O can provide, among others:
- Multiple product options and note, which allows consumer to choose and customize their dishes with options set up by the restaurant owner
- Multiple languages support, especially for restaurants that are located in well-known destination area, the feature helps foreign visitors to communicate better without language barriers
- Statistic report, which helps restaurant to track their progress and revenue.
- Table monitoring, which helps staff see activities of table and order and interact with customer through mobile devices
The technology inside InfoSpot O can be customized to other businesses as well. FromLabs envisions InfoSpot O to be implemented in other industries, including but not limited to the logistic industry, travel and hospitality industry, delivery services, and financial businesses.
In times when physical restrictions confine people to their home, InfoSpot O can provide a solution for the travel industry. While other technologies have allowed virtual travelling, InfoSpot O elevates the experience with customized solution.
InfoSpot O is concentrating on improving consumers experience while sightseeing. InfoSpot O can help user --in this case management of travel destination, from museum, gallery to zoo or gardens—to setup location or spot and add information of the spot by themselves. As for the consumer, they can have interesting and original experiences and information while using InfoSpot O without needing a tour guide to help them.
